As the main crushing component of the impact crusher, the wear of the blow bar has always been a topic of concern to users. In order to save costs, the blow bar is usually turned around after it is worn, and the unworn side is used as the working surface. So what problems will you encounter during the U-turn operation? How to install the blow bar more firmly? Next, Red Apple Casting tells you how to change the counterattack blow bar.
1. Disassembly of the blow bar: First, use the exclusive flip system to open the rear upper shelf to facilitate subsequent work. Operate the rotor by hand, move the blow bar to be replaced to the maintenance door position, and then leave the rotor unchanged. Remove the blow bar positioning parts, then press and remove them axially, and then push the blow bar axially from the maintenance door, or lift it out with a rack. In order to facilitate the disassembly of the blow bar, you can hammer the blow bar on the blow bar with your hand. Tap lightly on top.
2. Blow bar installation: When installing the blow bar, just reverse the above process. But how can the blow bar be firmly fixed on the rotor? This involves the installation method of blow bar.
How to secure the blow bar firmly to the rotor?
There are currently three main installation methods for blow bars on the market: screw fixing, pressure plate fixing and wedge fixing.
1. Bolt fixation
The blow bar is fixed to the blow bar seat of the rotor through bolts. However, the screws are exposed on the impact surface and are easily damaged. Moreover, the screws are subject to large shearing force. Once sheared, a serious accident will occur.
Note: Many major manufacturers now do not use this fixing method.
2. Pressure plate fixed
The blow bar is inserted into the groove of the rotor from the side. In order to prevent axial movement, both ends are pressed with pressure plates. However, this fixing method requires welding, the pressure plate is easy to wear and difficult to replace, and the blow bar is not strong enough and can easily loosen during work.
3. Wedge fixation
Wedges are used to fix the blow bar on the rotor. Under the action of centrifugal force during operation, this method can ensure that the faster the rotor speeds, the firmer the blow bar is fixed. It also works reliably and is more convenient to replace. This is currently the best way to fix the blow bar.
Note: One thing to note is that if bolts are used to tighten the wedges, the threads are easily deformed, damaged, or even broken. When the thread is deformed, it also causes great difficulties in disassembly and assembly of the blow bar. In order to overcome the above disadvantages, we can use the hydraulic wedge fastening method. It uses the plunger in the cylinder to remove the support and wedge, then lifts the blow bar and replaces the blow bar. This fastening method is safe and reliable, easy to replace, and more convenient to maintain.
