1. High manganese steel, is a traditional material of jaw plate. It has good toughness as well as good deformation hardening ability. The characteristics of high manganese steel are wear-resistant and has high hardness. It is very good equipment and convenient to crush common materials whatever it crushes stones or minerals.
2. Medium manganese steel, due to the low hardness and low yield strength, medium manganese steel is very easy to be cut and produces flowing deformation if its insufficient work hardening under non-strong impact conditions. In order to improve the service life of the jaw plate, medium manganese steel was developed.
- Recombination of high-chromium cast iron and high-manganese steel, high-chromium cast iron is an excellent wear-resistant material, but it is poor toughness, it will directly crack or deform in a few times when it is impacted or squeezed by the material. Therefore, using high-chromium cast iron to produce jaw plates is hard to achieve better effects. In recent years, high-chromium cast iron has been used for casting or bonding on high-manganese steel jaw plate to form a composite one, giving full play to the high wear resistance of high-chromium cast iron and high toughness of high-manganese steel, improving its service life significantly.
- Low-alloy cast steel, medium-carbon low-alloy cast steel is a widely used wear-resistant material. Because of its high hardness and appropriate toughness, it can resist the cutting action and fatigue spalling caused by the repeated extrusion of materials, showing good wear resistance. At the same time, the medium carbon low alloy cast steel can also be adjusted in composition and heat treatment process to change its hardness and toughness in a wide range for meeting the requirements of different working conditions.
