Dirt, improper installation, or using parts from different suppliers can reduce the productivity and/or crushing capacity of the equipment, and even cause parts to break, resulting in severe damage to the impact crusher.
Therefore, we should firstly get to know the most common reasons for the dramatic reduction in the service life of a blow bar in order to prolong its service life.
- The impact area of the blow bar has become caked with broken material
- The selected blow bar does not match the material being crushed
- The configuration of the equipment parameters does not match the application situation (such as rotor speed or crushing ratio)
Prolonging the service life requires the following:
- Daily thorough cleaning
- Regular checks of the blow bar to ensure it is working normally and to prevent any wear or damage
- Regular check and maintenance of the entire crusher shell
- Selection of the proper blow bar to match the application condition
- Adjustment of all parameters of the machine (rotor speed, opening gap, etc.) according to the application condition
- Proper installation of the blow bar
- Check dirt severity, and remove loose dirt from the rotor, plate hammer and tensioning gear.
- Use appropriate tools and lifting appliances to conduct any lifting, such as pulleys and trolleys.
- Only the rotor equipped with the rotating device is permitted for use (if possible). It is prohibited to remove the rotor protection device.
