Introduction: Jaw crushers are mostly used in some industries such as mine, metallurgy and construction, for coarse crushing and medium crushing (The compressive strength of industrial material is less than 320MPa). Jaw crushers have some advantages like large crushing power, high production, easy structure, average crushing size, easy to be maintained, etc. Their work characters condition in serious wear of crusher parts which have to be replaced regularly.
01 OPERATION
Because of its high working intensity, hostile working environment and complicated vibration process, equipment errors and injury of people are not rare caused by wrong operation. Therefore, the correct operation of jaw crusher is one of the most important conditions of keeping availability.
Before starting jaw crusher, we need to check whether all main fittings like fastening bolts are intact or not and make lubricating system available. In particular we check if there are some large materials between movable jaw plate and fixed jaw plate to prevent them from sticking the crusher.
After starting the jaw crusher in order, we need to ensure that the material size and feeding speed are appropriate, some materials with bigger size than feed port are not allowed to put inside. Focus on the temperature of bearing. And we should start it again only after finding out the reasons of automatic trip. The equipment must be shut down if the crusher is broken or even do harm to human.
Close the jaw crusher step by step and then stop the supplementary system like lubricating system, checking the environment nearby. If there is a power cut, turn off the power immediately and clean the materials between movable jaw plate and fixed jaw plate.
02 MAINTENANCE
According to different degrees of maintenance, they can be divided into three types. Medium and current repairs are the main methods of daily maintenance, and capital repairs need to be regularly formulated and implemented to ensure that the equipment can continue to meet production requirements.
Current repair means that checking some adjusting devices including corresponding gasket and spring of jaw crusher, adjusting feed between jaw plates, replacing some wear liner plate and convey belts, adding lubrication, cleaning some components and parts.
Medium repair also includes current repair but has more contents. It means that replacing some wear parts such as thrust levers, the bearings of eccentric shaft, bars and axle bushes (such as connecting rod bearing shell and motive axle bushes).
Capital repair are not only including current and medium repairs but replacing or repairing some key parts like eccentric shaft and jaw plates as well as upgrading the technology of jaw crusher.
