Silica is also known as quartzite or quartz sandstone, the main content is silicon dioxide. Sodium silicate and silicon dioxide are the main products obtained from the chemical processing of silica, and good silica presents a dense blocky shape with shell or scale-like sections and no obvious laminated structure. After processing, silica can be used to make acid refractory bricks, glass, ceramics, and silicate cement.
Processing flow
Stage1: Scrubbing
Scrubbing is the process of removing thin films of iron, bonded and muddy impurity minerals from the surface of silica by means of mechanical force and the abrasive force between the sand particles. This process is a pretreatment for silica processing.
Stage 2: Magnetic Separation
The purpose of magnetic separation of silica is to remove impurities including magnetic minerals such as conodont particles, such as hematite, limonite, smectite, ilmenite, pyrite and garnet. The finer the silica grit, the better the iron removal.
Stage 3: Crushing Process
The processed silica is fed into the hydraulic cone crusher by the vibrating feeder to start the processing and crushing process (mantle and concave interaction can break the small pieces of ore into smaller sized ore particles), and finally get the ideal output material.
